JACKSON, Miss.- Jackson State women's cross team member, Jemu Zarzar has been named to the All-SWAC first team. Zarzar finished in fourth place during the 2006 Southwestern Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships held in Clinton, Mississippi at Choctaw Trails.

Zarzar's helped lead the Lady Tigers to fourth place in the team standings. Alabama State finished in first place with a team score of 27, Grambling State came in second with 51 points, while Arkansas-Pine Bluff took third with a tally of 86 points. JSU finished with 93 points.

Adrienne Smith and Erin Finlay also received individual honors. Both were named to the women's cross country SWAC All-Academic team. Smith currently has a 3.88 GPA and Finlay has a 3.84 GPA.
