CLINTON, Miss. - The Jackson State women's cross country team claimed third place in the 2007 SWAC Cross Country Championships on Monday at Choctaw Trails. Jemu ZarZar came in fourth place in the 5,000 meter run and Jennifer Redman came in seventh place. ZarZar was named to the all-conference first team and Redman claimed second team honors. The women of Arkansas-Pine Bluff were crowned 2007 champions. The Lady Lions took the top three places and claimed four of the top 10 spots in the race. Grambling State came in second place. In the team standings, UAPB finished with a score of 44 points. The Grambling State Lady Tigers were second with a mark of 61 points while the Jackson State Lady Tigers took third with a tally of 69 points. |
