Lady Tigers Cross Country Finishes 11th at Crimson Classic



JSU women coming down the stretch

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The JSU women's cross country team finished in 11th place at the 2007 Crimson Classic this weekend. The Lady Tigers recorded a score of 253.

UAB won the meet with a low score of 33 points, followed by host school Alabama with a 87 score.

Sophomore Jemu ZarZar finished 34th overall, with a time of 20:00.72. Freshman Jennifer Redman came in 45th place and junior Adrienne Smith came in 64th. Tunisian Milner finished 68th, Candace Frye, Marlisa Hamlett and Kimberly Whalen came in 73rd, 74th and 75th place respectively and Lacolony Oliver finished 91st overall.

JSU returns to action Sept. 22 to face Mississippi Valley State in Itta Bena, Miss.
