HATTIESBURG, Miss. -The Jackson State University women's cross country team finished in third place in the 27th Annual Southern Miss Cross Country Invitational Friday at Tatum Park. The Lady Tigers finished with 90 points, four behind second place Southern Miss. Tulane won the invitational with a near perfect score of 16 points. JSU was led by Jemu ZarZar, who finished in seventh place overall with a time of 21:36.36. Tunisia Milner came in 15th place with a time of 22:23.02 and Jennifer Redman came in 17th place with a time of 22:34.71. The complete order of finish was: Tulane (16), Southern Miss. (86), JSU (90), Mississippi College (98), Spring Hill (159), Delta State (159), Xavier (160), Loyola-New Orleans (230), Alcorn State (230), West Alabama (265), Univ. of Mobile (269), and Tougaloo College (339). JSU will return to action Friday, Sept. 14 when the Lady Tigers compete in the Crimson Tide Classic. |
