JACKSON, Miss.- The Jackson State Lady Tiger volleyball program has signed Latoya Clark, Dana Rae Yoshimura and Donisha Dunn for upcoming 2008 season, according to head coach Rose Washington. Clark, of Florida High School garnered 389 assists and 34 aces during their regular season. The team captain, during her junior and senior years, also received offensive player of the year honors, was nominated for the Wendy's High School Heisman Award, and was a 3A district volleyball player of the year for the 2007-08 volleyball year. Yoshimura, the starting outside hitter for St. Mary's High School was player of the year for three years, including her freshman, junior and senior year. Ranked 18th in the country, she is a two-time junior Olympian, first team all region and honorable mention all-state. She was also the president of her high schools Black Student Union, as well as being a member of the Harmony Dance Company and a member of the Arizona Juniors volleyball club. Dunn, a 6'2 middle blocker from Del Valle High School in Austin, Texas was named to the all-academic team as a sophomore, junior and senior. Named 1st team all-district during her senior year, Donisha was also named 2nd team all-district her junior year, and honorable mention all-district during her sophomore year on the team. |
