JSU Lady Tigers soccer continues to lead nation in scoring



Naira Crimiel lead NCAA D-I soccer in scoring offense

JACKSON, Miss.- With 61 goals in 17 games, an average of 3.59 goals per game, the Jackson State University Lady Tiger soccer team currently leads the nation in scoring offense in NCAA rankings.

Several JSU Lady Tigers also rank high in the Division I NCAA individual rankings.

Freshman, mid-fielder/forward Naira Crimiel a native of McComb, Mississippi ranks No. 1 in the nation in scoring offense with 18 goals in 17 games; seven assists for a total of 43 points. Crimiel, who also ranks No. 1 in the nation in single game goals, has four goals each versus Alabama State, Texas Southern and Arkansas Pine Bluff. The midfielder/forward is also No. 2 in points in a single game with nine points versus Arkansas Pine Bluff, Alabama State and Texas Southern, respectively.

Rochelle Moncrieffe, a freshman native of Coconut Creek, Florida, currently ranks No. 2 in the nation in single game assists with four assists versus UAPB. Moncrieffe also ranks No. 9 single game highs points with eight points versus Arkansas Pine Bluff.

The Jackson State University Lady Tiger soccer team finished their 2007 campaign with a 9-4-4 record on the season.
