MONROE, La. - Jackson State standout Toniece Williams was the top performer for the Lady Tigers at the ULM Warhawk Classic. Williams recorded JSU's only first place finish, as she won the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:00.85. The Lady Tigers had 10 other top ten finishes. In the 200 meter dash Tayari Clay finished in fourth place, Taji Dorsey came in sixth and Lisa Quinn took ninth place. Tunisia Milner came in fourth place in the 800 meter run. In the high jump Lukina Burks came in second place and Deshawnn Chiles finished in fifth place in the discus throw. Leadrianna White and Octavia Gadson came in third and sixth place respectively in the hammer throw. Stephanie Cleave also finished in sixth place in the javelin. The Lady Tiger 4 x 100 meter relay team cam in second place. On the men's side Eric Speer came in second place in the 800 meter run. He finished with a time of 1:51.86. JSU will return to action May 11-12 for the Georgia Tech Invitational in Atlanta, Ga.
