OXFORD, Miss. - The Jackson State women's 4x100 meter relay team captured first place with a time of 46.03 at the Ole Miss Invitational in Oxford, Miss. Saturday. JSU's 4x400 meter relay team also finished second with a time of 3:49.30. Courtney Prentiss finished in fourth place in the 100 m dash and sixth in the 200. In the 400 m dash Lisa Quinn finished in eighth place with a time of 56.57 seconds, Taji Dorsey was ninth with a time of 56.79. Kimberly Whalen was 20th (58.12), Tunisia Milner finished 29th (1:00.46). LaColony Oliver finished 22nd in the 800 meter (2:31.61). Jemu ZarZar was ninth in the 1500 m run with a time of 5:00.95 and Milner finished 30th (5:19.13) and Oliver was 34th (5:34.73). Jennifer Redman finished the 5000 m run with a 20:15.31 time, which was good enough for 14th place. Toniece Williams was seventh in the 100 m hurdles with a time of 14.37 and Marlisa Hamlett finished second in the 400 m hurdles with a time of 1:01.14. Candace Frye was eighth in the 400 m hurdles with a time of 1:03.32 and Tanieka Hill was ninth with a time of 1:03.64. Equonda Netters came in eighth place in the pole vault with a height of 10'8". In the long jump A'Miria Holloman came in 13th place (17'3.5"). Holloman also came in 12th place in the triple jump (36'2.75"). Brittney Dowdy and Leadrianne White came in 11th and 16th place respectively in the triple jump. Danielle Miller came in fourth place in the discus throw with a distance of 140'7" and Deshanna Chiles was 10th with a throw of 128'6". Stephanie Cleave was 12th (126'5") and Brittney Dowdy finished 18th (109'3"). White, Chiles and Cleave also finished 6th (155'10"), 10th (126'02") and 12th (115'5") respectively. In the javelin throw Whites came in 11th place, Cleave finished 14th, Chiles came in 21st, and Brittney and Courtney Dowdy finished 22nd and 24th. |
