JACKSON, Miss. - Jackson State's head women's track and field coach has been nominated for the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Coach of the Year for the Indoor season.

Banks, who's team won the 2008 SWAC Indoor Championships last week, was named SWAC Coach of the Year. With the win Banks became JSU's first female coach to win an outright SWAC championship since Sadie Magee won the 1985 SWAC Women's Basketball Tournament.
