The Jackson State Lady Tigers indoor track and field team finished the University of Houston All-Comers meet with 16 top ten finishes.

Courtney Prentiss and Tayari Clay each earned first place finishes in the track events and Leadrianne White earned a second place finish in a field event.

Prentiss won the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.16. Lisa Quinn came in third place in the 200 m dash (25.46), Taji Dorsey finished fourth (25.51) and Candace Frye finished 14th. Prentiss also finished in fourth place in the 60 m dash with a time of 7.64. In the 200

Clay won the 400 m dash with a time of 56.88. Dorsey finished fourth (57.84) and Toniece Williams came in seventh place (59.55).

In the 60 m hurdles Williams came in sixth place with a time of 9.03 and Marlisa Hamlett finished seventh (9.18). Kimberly Whalen led JSU's efforts in the 800 m run with a 15th place finish. Tunisia Milner finished 16th and LaColony Oliver came in 19th place.

Jemu ZarZar came in eighth place in the one mile run with a time of 5:24.73. Jennifer Redman and Adrienne Smith finished 18th and 26th respectively. ZarZar finished in the top five in the 3000 m run with a fourth place finish (10:50.46).

JSU 4x400 m relay team came in third place. JSU also performed well in the field events.

White finished second in the weight throw with a distance of 15.30 m. Deshawnn Chiles came in 11th place, Stephanie Cleave finished 17th and Danielle Miller was 23rd.

Clay was sixth in the long jump with a leap of 12.92 m. Amiria Holloman finished 11th and Tanieka Hill was 21st. In the shot put Miller cracked the top ten with an eighth place finish with a toss of 12.92 m. Cleave finished 15th, White 18th and Chiles 25th.

JSU will return to action for the LSU Twilight starting Feb. 22.
