BATON ROUGE, La.- The JSU women's golf team remains in last place in the NCAA East regional. The Lady Tigers are in 21st place following a 325. JSU has a score of 654 after completing two of the scheduled three rounds. Shasta Averyhardt continues to lead JSU. After firing a 77 in the second round, her two-day score is 156. The third and final round is set for 8 a.m. Saturday morning. UCLA continues to lead the team race, having built a four-shot lead over second place Wake Forest. The Demon Deacons also have a four-shot edge over two-time defending national champion Duke. Teams are much more tightly packed between third and eight place, however. Furman is in fourth place with a 574, with Purdue, Auburn, and Louisville all holding a one-shot advantage over Alabama with identical scores of 575. The top eight teams will advance to NCAA Championship.
