JACKSON, MISS. - There is no better time to support the Jackson State University Tigers women's basketball team. With its first SWAC championship and NCAA apperence since 1995 the Jackson State Tigers (12-5 SWAC) are heading to Baton Rouge to take on No.2 seed LSU (14-0 SEC) March 22 in the first round at 9:30 p.m. in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.

Ticket prices are $38 for adults and $23 for youth.

Jackson State and LSU will be joined by No.7 seed Marist (31-2) and No. 10 seed DePaul (21-11) to make up the four teams that are apart of the New Orleans Region.

In 1994 and 1995 Jackson State beat LSU 81-78 and 75-64 in regalur season play but the last meeting between Jackson State and LSU was in 2000 when Jackson State lost 103-35.
