Taneisha enters her second season as a member of the Jackson State Lady Tigers basketball coaching staff. Rogers comes to JSU after serving as an assistant coach at Pensacola State College.

A native of Houston, TX Rogers began her collegiate career on the junior college level. After plauing two seasons on the JUCO level, she transferred to Panhandle State where she received a medical redshirt and had a very productive second season for the Lady Aggies.

After graduating early Rogers went on to work on her master's degree, as well as playing her final season of collegiate basketball, at Delta State University. After completing her eligibility, she served the next two seasons as a graduate assistant for Delta State. Rogers graduated from Panhandle State with a bachelor's degree in Biology and a minor in chemistry in 2004. She received her master's in Education from Delta State in 2006.

She is the daughter of Debbie and the late Vernon Rogers. Taneisha has four brothers (Steven, Vernon, Jr., Michael and Cecil) and one sister (Lakeita). She has a son named Jordan.
