Michael Morris enters his second season as a member of the Jackson State University women's basketball coaching staff. Prior to coming to Jackson State the Katy, TX native coached the Off the Court Warriors (AAU) in Magnolia, TX.

COLLEGE: Morris is a 2006 graduate from Colorado State University, where he was a three year starter for the Rams. Morris is ranked in the Colorado State Top 10 in blocks, steals and assists. His sophomore season was highlighted by one of the most amazing plays in school history when he scored six points in less than one second including the game-winning steal and three-point basket as time expired to defeat Purdue.

HIGH SCHOOL: Micheal was a three-year letterwinner for Cinco Ranch High School where he was a starter and the team's top player since the school came into existence in 2000. He led CRHS to the state playoffs twice and in 2002, they lost to two-time defending Class 5A champions Willow Ridge. In 2001 he averaged 16 points, six rebounds and six assists per game and, as a senior, netted 16 points, seven rebounds and six assists per night. He is the school's all-time leader in scoring, assists and blocked shots.

FAMILY: Michael is the son of Michelle and Chris Morris. Chris is an 11 year NBA veteran and played with former Jackson State basketball great Purvis Short.
