Personal: Daughter of Tim and Patricia Spann, is the oldest of three children.

At JSU: In 2006-07 played in 21 games and started 2, averaged 1.2 points and 1.0 rebounds... In 2005-06 played in 27 games and started 2... finished the season with 57 points, 48 rebounds, five assists, two blocked shots and five steals.

At Murrah High School: Was a member of the two-time state championship team... Was selected as All-Metro team, All-State team and All-District team... Was selected as the best rebounder for two consecutive years... Averaged 10 points, 10 rebounds and 2.1 steals per game... Also excelled in track and field where she held the school record for the triple jum (37' 10") and was ranked fourth in the state.
