MOBILE, Ala. - The JSU Tigers came in third place at the 2007 Azalea City Cross Country Classic this weekend.

Host team South Alabama came in first place with 34 points. Spring Hill College came in second place with 38 points and JSU finished with 49 points.

Kevin Itima led JSU with a fourth place overall finish. Courtney Irby came in sixth place and Melvin McLean finished in ninth place.

JSU will return to action Sept. 22 when the Tigers travel to Itta Bena, Miss. to face Mississippi Valley State.
