JACKSON, Miss. - The Jackson State men's basketball team announced its two first singees of the 2008 recruiting period.

JSU signed Davon Jones (Oak Park High School) and Phillip Williams (Hales Franciscan High School). Jones,a 6-7 power forward from Oak Park, MI average 13 points, nine rebounds, and four blocks last season.

Williams, a 6-1 point guard from Chicago, IL averaged 19 points, four rebounds and six assists last season.

The Tigers will look to sign a few more players before the end of the signing period.
