Nov. 18, 2007 LOUISVILLE, KY--- The Jackson State University men's basketball team fell 84-53 to the University of Louisville in the second game of the Las Vegas Invitational Sunday night. With the loss Jackson State falls to a 0-4 overall record. Louisville improves to a 2-0 record. Darrion Griffin led the Tigers with 15 points on 5-10 shooting. Grant Maxey followed with 10 points and Stanley Turner chipped in nine. Catraiva Givens dished out team high five assists and Chris Hyche recorded a game high four steals. Earl Clark led Louisville with 20 points on 5-11 shooting. Andre McGee followed with 18 points. Jackson State trailed 25-36 at halftime. The Tigers connected on 34.5 percent of their shot attempts in the first half and Louisville shot 35 percent. JSU finished the game shooting 29 percent from the floor, 22 percent in three-pointers and 66 percent at the free throw line. The Tigers grabbed 39 rebounds and Louisville recorded 53 boards. Jackson State will return to action on Nov. 23 and 24 for the final rounds of the Las Vegas Invitational in Las Vegas, Nevada.
