JACKSON, MISS. - Jackson State won its third game in-a-row when it posted a 25-10 win against Tougaloo Wednesday at the JSU baseball complex, improving its overall record 12-8. Jerome TYES had a total of four runs batted in, six hits and the lone home run of the night while teammate Jeremy HARVEY had three hits and five runs batted in, en route to the Jackson State victory. By the bottom of the third inning the Tigers led the Tougaloo Bulldogs 14-2 but that would not last for long. The Bulldogs went on to post five runs in the third inning followed by three runs in the fourth closing the gap 14-10 by the end of the fifth inning. With Jackson State in the lead by four runs at the top of the seventh the Tigers sealed the win with 7 runs in the inning followed by four runs in the eight. Pitchers Edwin PEREZ and David De La Calle comined for 12 hits and five stick outs. the Tigers ended the night with 28 hits. |
